A life, made into a book worth keeping.

An heirloom biography is written to be read by people who aren’t born yet. We interview, research, and write a finished book that a family can hand down — and because we’re a production company first, we can carry that same story onto film.

Most families don’t have the time, distance, or writing craft to turn a parent’s or grandparent’s life into a proper book — and by the time there’s urgency to do it, there’s often little time left. Our heirloom biography service exists for exactly that: a ghostwriter who sits down with your family member, does the work of a real biographer, and delivers a finished manuscript.

The process is built around the subject’s voice, not ours. We interview extensively, verify the details worth verifying, and write in a way that sounds like the person telling their own story — because that’s what makes it worth keeping.

The Heirloom Video

Because KirMag is a video production company first, a commissioned biography doesn’t have to stop at the page. We can carry a family’s story across a couple of generations at once — interviews, archival photographs, and home footage woven together into a documentary film that feels like a Ken Burns piece: patient, layered, and built to be watched by the generations still to come, the same way the book is built to be read by them.
