Corrective Lenses is the successor to The County Seat, the weekly broadcast program KirMag produced from 2011 to 2022 covering the issues facing local Utah governments — taxes, roads, public lands, and the decisions that rarely make the evening news but shape a community every day. That show ran for eleven years and built a real, loyal following.
We’re not producing new County Seat broadcasts, but the audience and the appetite for that kind of grounded, unhurried conversation didn’t go anywhere. Corrective Lenses picks it up in a long-form interview format, with room to go beyond local government into whatever topic earns the time.
New episodes are hosted as a playlist on The County Seat’s existing YouTube channel — a deliberate choice to build on an established audience rather than start over from zero.
